History Lives Here Walking Tours
History Lives Here Inc. presents Walking Tours of Historic Picton, a 90-minute journey back in time.
Re-live the heady days of tall ships, sail and steam when this community was a major shipping port exporting its timber and agricultural produce to world markets. Hear the stories from the 1830s, when Canada’s first prime minister walked these streets as a young lawyer, and later, when we smuggled boozed across Lake Ontario during the dangerous days of Prohibition and the rum running trade.
Tour price: $25 per person, including tax, available at The Regent Theatre. Family rate of $60, includes two adults and two children under 15
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10-11.30 a.m. Departs from the Regent Theatre.
