Milford Mill Pond Conservation Area
Attractively situated on the Milford Mill Pond, one of the features of this area is the historic Scott’s Mill. Once open to the public, the mill is now closed. Milford Mill Pond Conservation Area is a perfect spot for a summer picnic beside the water. This 11.8 hectare (29 acre) property also contains the Milford Dam. The dam was built in 1981, primarily for low flow augmentation.
A Little History
The Milford Mill pond once powered saw, grist and carding mills that gave the community its name. The property, dam and millpond were purchased by the Prince Edward Region Conservation Authority
This Conservation Area is located in Prince Edward County at 2223 County Road 10, between Crowe’s Road and Milford.
