Half Moon Bay Winery
We are a small farm-gate winery, offering only wines produced from grapes we grow. We do not use synthetic herbicides or pesticides. Enjoy our handcrafted wines by the bottle or by the glass. Our patio overlooks the vineyard in the southeast corner of the County. We use no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, but rely on the arid climate of Prince Edward County and fractured limestone over Half Moon Bay to produce quality grapes. We process only the grapes we grow.
Our mission is to produce premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling and Merlot with minimal intervention, to allow the wine to express the local terroir.
Our 2007 Pinot Noir has been barrel ageing for 18 months in a mixture of French, American and Canadian oak, offering a distinct character and flavor. It was released to wide acclaim in the summer of 2011.
We welcome you to come and taste. We are within the Important Bird Area, and 15 minutes drive to the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory.
