Wine Harvest Help: Join in the first step of wine making 🍇
If you’ve ever wondered about the life of a winemaker, get a taste of the earliest stages of winemaking – the harvesting of the grapes – at these special events:
Help The County’s garagiste winery bring in the grape harvest! There are two picking dates to choose from: Saturday October 5th or Saturday October 12th, things will get under way at 9 a.m., and wraps around 1:30 p.m. Water, snack and a hearty, homemade lunch paired with Sugarbush wine (of course) is provided. Wearing comfortable gardening clothes – something you’re willing to get muddy! – layers, gloves and bringing a small stool are recommended.
Why not lend a hand this Thanksgiving weekend (October 13th) and help bring in the harvest at one of The County’s OG wineries, The Grange. The day includes harvesting grapes in the morning, a rustic country lunch, a chance to process fruit on the crush pad in the afternoon and (new this year!) a harvest supper in the evening. For details and to reserve your spot contact firstname.lastname@example.org. *First access will be given to wine club members.
Join Stanners October 5 & 6 and 12 & 13 for their 2019 harvest parties. Expect a weekend full of picking grapes, drinking wine and eating delicious food on the patio, nestled in the estate’s dreamy garden! It’s perhaps the most integral part of the wine-making process – be part of it by letting them know your interest here.
Their grape picking spots have all filled up BUT you can still enjoy the annual Harvest Festival! Join in the celebration the end of harvest (1-4 p.m.) each day on Friday September 27th, Sunday September 29th and/or Friday October 4th . Enjoy complimentary tours with a crush demonstration where you will have the opportunity to taste the juice from the morning’s harvest. Top it off with grape stomping and sit back while you enjoy live music, a glass of your favorite Sandbanks wine, and food from Flossies Sandwiches! This is a complimentary event, no reservation required. Our Harvest festival does not include picking of grapes as our picking spots are full.
