What’s on Canada Day Weekend in Prince Edward County🍁
The County loves Canada Day, and we like to celebrate all weekend long. So put on your best red-and-white outfit and create your very own patriotic itinerary!

Warm up for the long weekend with a bevy of events around the County:
Saturday June 29
Stock up with all your long weekend provisions at the Wellington Farmers’ Market, 8 AM – 1 PM.
Get a basket (or 5) of sweet, juicy, County strawberries at Campbell’s Orchards during their Strawberry D’eh festivities, 11 AM – 4 PM, Saturday and Sunday.
Growing Beauty: Naturalistic Garden and Floral Design Workshop, an inspiring half day of experiential learning and inspiration at beautiful East Lake Farm, 1-5 PM.
Taste new releases and sample straight from the barrel during Sandbanks Winery’s Canada Day celebrations all weekend long.
Open House at Littlejohn Farm. Meet goats, chickens, ducks, and pigs! Tour the gardens and get to know Littlejohn Farm over nibbles and wine. 2 – 5 PM.
Sunday June 30
Enjoy Canada Day specials all weekend long at The Waring House paired with live music and fireworks in the garden!
Summer kick-off party with live music from Chris Bonham Carter, 555 Brewing Co. 6 PM.
Soak up some Sunday Patio Jazz at Exultet Estates Winery, sets are on at 1 – 2 PM and 4 – 5 PM.
Chicken Dinner Barbecue, Wellington Legion, 364 Main St., 5 – 7 PM.
Free Street Dance with live music from Cue the Funk and The Shadows, Main Street in front of the Wellington Town Hall, 5 – 11 PM.
Fireworks at dusk in Wellington, grab a spot at Wellington Beach or the south-end of the park to get a good vantage point.
Picton – Monday July 1
Fuel up for a big day with an all-you-can-eat Kiwanis fundraiser breakfast at the Masonic Hall, 13251 Loyalist Parkway. Adults $10, Kids $5. 8 AM – 12 PM.
Main Street will be closed to traffic from 8 AM to 7 PM, with an epic street party happening from noon until 5 PM. Hop on the party train, or spend some time frolicking on the lush lawn that magically appears in the middle of Main Street! There will be pedal-car drag racing, a giant maze, and plenty of food and craft vendors.
The main stage will be located in front of Scotiabank, with Opening Ceremonies and singing of the national anthem from 12 – 12:15 PM.
The stage will feature live music all afternoon, including Grace Bongard, The Kitchen Family, Instant Rivalry, The Frere Brothers, and Elvis tribute artist William Elvis Young.
Bring your kids to Benson Park! The playground there is a year-round hit, but for Canada day there will be a one-man circus show, giant soccer target practice, as well as Boxtopia, a creative cardboard kingdom for kids, brought to you by artists from The Department of Illumination.
Take in the 26th annual Art in the County juried exhibition and sale presented by the Prince Edward County Arts Council. Admission to the show is free on Canada Day and takes place at The Armoury, 206 Main St.
Vendors and live music will keep the party going at the Mary St. parking lot. 7-10 PM.
Stick around for the fireworks at Delhi Park – a family favourite! You’ll have a great view from the Mary St. parking lot starting at 10 PM.
Wellington – Monday July 1
Pancake Breakfast at Wellington Town Hall, 246 Main St, 8 – 10:30 AM.
Canada Day Parade starts at 10:30 AM, Belleville St. to Consecon St.
Strawberry Social after the parade at the United Church, 245 Main St.
Opening Ceremonies 12 PM at the Gazebo, Wellington Park.
Junior Firefighters’ Challenge and Kids’ Games 12 – 2 PM, front lawn of CML Snider School.
Free Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides on Main St., 12 – 2 PM.
Wellington Rotary Ribs in Wellington Park, 11 AM – 2 PM.
Library Book Sale, lower level of Wellington library, 261 Main St., 9:30 AM – 2 PM.
Lunch on the Lawn & What Not Shop at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 244 Main St.
